The SILENT Piano is made for those who love the sound and feel of an authentic acoustic piano but need the flexibility to play whenever inspiration strikes. Simply connect headphones or speakers to enjoy the true feeling of an acoustic piano but with absolute control over ambient sound levels. When the piano is in SILENT mode, the hammers will not hit the strings, and instead a high-quality grand piano sound is produced digitally, allowing you to play in complete privacy in any environment. Now you can play to your heart’s content, wherever and whenever you like. By Definition: A silent piano is an acoustic piano where there is an option to silence the strings by stopping the hammers from striking them. A silent piano is designed for private silent practice. The pianos also have full MIDI capability for sending signals and can be linked to a computer for use with notation software, etc. First, it’s a real piano which is important because a serious piano player will tell you it’s all about the feel and the nuances, which sets a real acoustic piano apart from a synthesized keyboard. When a piano sound board dries out, the pins no longer hold, and tuning doesn’t last. After it is moved and allowed to’settle’, it will need to be retuned. This piano is an absolute joy to play. One last thing; It’s great to be able to play it in silent mode with earphones so as not to disturb anyone.
