The Kawai Princess Piano is a great-sounding miniature upright piano with a 22-wide keyboard. It’s a real strung piano with a soundboard, and (along with the Kawai-made Monochord piano) sounds better than any other miniature piano we have played. This isn’t a toy piano and doesn’t sound like one; you’ll most likely experience a moment of disbelief when you hear it for the first time. It’s also a great portable acoustic piano for gigging or studio use. It weighs only 80 lbs. Dimensions are 27″ L x 17″ W x 32 H. According to Kawai, the miniature piano’s unique cabinet design and action was designed by Koichi Kawai, the company’s faounder. According to Kawai, they made only about one hundred of these a month for one year. There are probably only a few hundred of these left in the world.

Schoenhut 44-Key Real Upright Piano in Polished Black. You move and haul. Schoenhut’s 44-key’Real’ stringed pianos offer a true piano sound with perfect pitch. Taking two years to design, these instruments are ideally sized for children around 5 years and older and they provide a perfect step up from the traditional toy piano, allowing children to reach the pedals and experience the performance of a standard acoustic piano. Iron Frame: Schoenhut pianos use iron frames of precision sand-casting to guarantee their natural shaping. The stable support is achieved through natural time treatment. The accurate design enables the iron frame to support over 20 tons of tension created by the strings. Strings: Schoenhut’s extra length strings are capable of producing greater energy and depth of tone. The German Roslau 30% tin-coated strings are scientifically arranged for optimum timbre yielding a rich bass, sweet tenor and brilliant treble. The purely hand turned windings on the bass strings guarantee a natural transition from the bass to the treble whilst agraffes (usually reserved for grand pianos) help maintain an accurate effective string length. These are supported by a solid spruce soundboard affording the piano a richer and more powerful tone. Keys: The keys on the 44-Key Real piano are made of compressed multi-laminate timber to prevent deformation and aid durability. The synthetic ivory white keys and satin-finished black keys provide a comfortable touch whilst individually adjusted lead weights give the familiar piano touch. VERY RARE Antique Early Faux Rosewood Schoenhut Childs Toy Piano Upright Plays
Wonderful antique Schoenhut child’s piano in good working condition from an old Virginia estate. Could use a little cleaning and TLC but in good solid condition with nice patina. It has 22 white keys and 15 black keys and it measures approximately 24″ long x 24″ high x 12 deep. Has a couple of old minor cosmetic repairs, as shown in photos. Lid has tiny nails that held it on originally, but they were replaced at some point with tiny gold screws. See 4th from last photo. Narrow cracks in wood on one side near bottom. Back has the most significant “repair” where a piece of the edging that held the back on came off one side long ago and the back was just tacked back into place, likely with the original nails. It is not very noticeable to just look at the back but you notice it when you examine it more closely. See last 3 photos. We are keeping the price reasonable on this one due to the minor condition issues but, as it is so rare, you are unlikely to find another in any condition.
