Custom William Knab & Co. Black lacquer with gilt Upright Piano, with matching bench. Mother of pearl keys, cabriolet legs. From the estate of Edie Adams, an American comedienne, actress, singer and businesswoman. She earned the Tony Award and was nominated for Emmy Award. Adams was well known for her impersonations of sexy stars on stage and television, especially Marilyn Monroe. She was the frequent television partner of Ernie Kovacs, her husband. Adams founded two beauty businesses: Edie Adams Cosmetics and Edie Adams Cut’n’ Curl. 61 x 24 x 41 inches height. Good condition, some crazing to lacquer, some scratches, loss to MOP on some keys. Needs tuning, and one, possibly more hammers need replacement or repair. We recommend a carrier that specializes in moving pianos.
