1911 (Decker Bros) Oak Upright Piano – Instrument. This piano was built originally as a “player” by The Decker Brothers Piano Company of Chicago during the “Golden Age” of piano building inAmerica circa 1911 based on. This piano is a large, full size Upright with the string length and soundboard of a full grand piano! This piano is made of quarter sawn oak wood and is of the Mission style, making it ideal for an early 20th Century American Bungalow or Craftsman style home. This piano has been kept on an inside/interior wall and tuned for many years. It was restrung approximately 10 years ago. Some of the keys have wear. The keys are NOT ivory. Recently, we have restored flooring in our house, therefore, the insideof the piano is dusty! FYI – Removal of the original player mechanisms is common inantique player pianos. When the original player mechanisms stopped working, piano tuners would often remove and discardthe original player mechanisms from the piano with no thought to the player mechanisms ever being restored to play again, although, it can be restored to itsformer glory or set up to play with an Ipod or MP3 player, OR this player Upright Piano works just as well as a regular piano!
