VERY RARE Antique Early Faux Rosewood Schoenhut Childs Toy Piano Upright Plays
Wonderful antique Schoenhut child’s piano in good working condition from an old Virginia estate. Could use a little cleaning and TLC but in good solid condition with nice patina. It has 22 white keys and 15 black keys and it measures approximately 24″ long x 24″ high x 12 deep. Has a couple of old minor cosmetic repairs, as shown in photos. Lid has tiny nails that held it on originally, but they were replaced at some point with tiny gold screws. See 4th from last photo. Narrow cracks in wood on one side near bottom. Back has the most significant “repair” where a piece of the edging that held the back on came off one side long ago and the back was just tacked back into place, likely with the original nails. It is not very noticeable to just look at the back but you notice it when you examine it more closely. See last 3 photos. We are keeping the price reasonable on this one due to the minor condition issues but, as it is so rare, you are unlikely to find another in any condition.
