Antique Upright Piano Emerson Goggins Brothers Texas TX with Hand Carved Chair
Unique and Rare Piano by a San Antonio, TX piano maker. Tuned and plays well! The firm of Thomas Goggan & Brother was originally established in 1866 in Galveston, Texas by brothers Thomas and Mike Goggan. Both instruments built by Emerson and by Goggan were known to be of exceptional quality. These instruments were distributed mainly throughout the southern states where they were prone to extreme moisture, heat and cold. Their ability to withstand the harsh climate was amazing, and instruments we see by the firm are generally still well preserved and quite restorable.

Vintage Emerson Upright Piano Style B Emerson Piano Co Antique 1886-1899 Est
This is a vintage Emerson Upright Piano, Style “B”, made in the late 1800s by Emerson Piano Co. Ive searched for the serial number, and the only number I can find is 1766 stamped in at least 4 places into the wood, which I think may be a patent number, not the serial number. But not much later because pianos were becoming less ornate and more streamline in design after the turn of the century. The exterior was refinished in 1965, and there are some scratches and dents, but overall it still looks great. The piano plays, but a restoration would bring the sound quality to its very best. The keys are yellowed, worn, and a couple of them are missing the ivory covers. 3 of the hammers are missing inside. Its a beautiful piece of antique furniture and history, and would be a wonderful addition to your home with or without a restoration. The vintage stool is included! It was refinished to match the piano, but needs a new cushion and some tightening up under the seat. I also have an old metronome if you’d like to have it. Antique upright Emerson piano. Piano has patent dates of 1885 and 1886 listed on it (see photo). It was used for about 5 years and has been a piece of furniture since. Vintage Rare 1895 Emerson Upright Grand Piano Beautiful Original Condition
VINTAGE RARE Circa 1895 EMERSON UPRIGHT GRAND PIANO in beautiful original condition. Been in our family for about 30 years. Finish is great with that aged dark patina that only time can accomplish. Lions foot legs are very distinctive and all of the wood detailing is very nice and complete. Sound quality is good but probably will need servicing and tuning after its been moved. Perfect finishing touch for that period correct Victorian home or turn of the century display. Dimensions 66 Long, 29 Deep, 52High. Will take in consideration moving and tuning /servicing when determining final price. Please look at all the pictures closely and ask questions.
