Piano (kohler & Campbell Hazelton Piano With Bench)
THIS IS TRULY A BEAUTIFUL PIECE IN LITERALLY NEW CONDITION. I wanted to price this piano where it would be competitive with like pianos, pianos that are not old and worn out and there are MANY of those on the Internet. This piano would be considered a Console, as it is 42″ high and 58″ wide. I would want a piano that has never been placed on an outside wall in a home, or stored in any moist environment, mine has not, and finally, I would want a piano that has never been subjected to a smoker, mine has not. I looked at several music stores in the Nashville area, and was amazed at how expensive new pianos were as well as used pianos that are similar to mine. I found an online company that was impressive indeed, and he sells at wholesale prices. Mine is absolutely priced to sell, AS NEW, in NEW condition, and the furniture quality is beyond beautiful! So many upright pianos simply look like a box, not so with this one! Without going into the grand class of pianos, this Hazelton cherry French Provincial piano is the finest piano Kohler & Campbell made. This beautiful instrument has been in our family for many years, however, it was never played, kept in tune, but never played, so I have a piano in NEW condition. What does the Hazelton offer: 1. Lifetime Permatone Spruce Soundboard, constructed of three laminated layers. Full Perimeter Harp, 25 pounds heavier than conventional plates, the full cast iron frame provides greater rigidity and tuning stability. Five Full-Length Back Posts of solid spruce all the way up with solid spruce spacer blocks between. A back cap of expensive laminated birch gives additional support. All 8,000 parts of the action, including keys and hammers are hand fitted, adjusted and regulated. Teflon at all critical points to insure responsiveness. Tropicalized Hammers, chemically dipped, 100% virgin wool felt hammer heads. Kohler & Campbell Exclusive Scale: The “break” has been moved four half tones lower than the conventional piano scale. The effect is unequaled depth of tone throughout the keyboard, especially in the delicate areas of the treble and bass “break”. Obviously this piano is VERY heavy, very! Hazelton Bros. Antique Piano
My dad gave me this lovely Hazelton Brothers mahogany piano when I was 8 years old. I’m moving and I don’t have space any longer. The piano and bench are in good condition and very playable. I want it to go to a good home that wants and needs a piano, so that’s more important to me than the price. The case is mahogany, the keys are probably real ivory–it was made as a quality upright piano. You will need to pick it up in the Hollywood Hills, and you may want to use a piano mover professional.
