The proof is in the puddin’, and in this case, it’s in the luxurious sound of this visually and audibly striking vintage instrument! She was handmade by craftsman in 1912 at the Steger and Sons factory in Steger, Illinois (Near Chicago). Under the original finish you’ll discover tightly grained Honduran Mahogany, hewn from slow growing trees in the very dense forest way back then. The result is a deep, rich, resonant sound that a new instrument can not produce. The ivories were replaced in 1999 and there are 3 original brass foot pedals, all in working order. Some wear can be seen on the legs, and in the wood below the keyboard. However, at present, you can own this fine instrument, a piece of history that endures and continues to create, delight and entertain those who appreciate the richness of a classic. Steger and Sons antique upright piano
Antique Steger and Sons upright piano. This piano has the most amazing sound! Been moved several times and has never gotten out of tune. This piano is by far the best one out there. Many of my relatives have bought very expensive pianos and none have compared to this beauty! My dad got this piano for me when I was very young. She said it was very old then. So imagine how unique and antique it is now! And it’s been keeping up pretty well. But has a lot of original wear on it. Very sad to part with it, but we plan on moving soon and this piece is just hard to move around. For further questions please message me.
