Lester Spinet Upright’Betsy Ross’ c. 1945 Mahogany piano in very good condition. A few superficial scratches here and there, could be covered up with a mahogany-cherry wood’pen. This is a very attractive piano; it is not an old rickety, wood damaged/warped, paint faded, etc. Such as some of the ones. I’ve seen that are about this age. The piano is in very good condition, although it may need a tuning. It’s been in our family for over 75 years. It’s been kept in a very clean in our house for about 30 years. It has made one move from my grandmothers house to ours. Bench included in fine condition, and piano is on wheels. Lester Spinet “Betsy Ross” Philadelphia, PA 1956 This belonged to my mother. Has curved keys which is unusual since most keys have a lip. The keys are plastic and not ivory. Water stain on top. I bought it from a college about 30 years ago; it was a working student-teaching piano. It’s been kept in a very clean apartment environment and then moved to a house for about 28 years. I had to move suddenly from Maine two years ago and placed it in storage, where it has been in a climate-controlled, heated/air-conditioned environment. This mahogany piano has been with my family in one home since the 1950s. We believe our father got it from our church organist. The piano is probably from the early 1900s. The condition is used and it shows some wear for age as would be expected. It has not been tuned in quite some time but still has a lovely vintage sound and all keys are in working condition. Very nice quality sound May need tuning and one key slightly sticks sometimes but need to mention. Not original bench to piano but bench is in very good condition Key board cover slides nicely over keys, however the knobs are missing. Light finish wear in places where most touched such as around key board cover pulls.
