This is a beautiful, restored 1886 Steinway and Sons 53 1/2. It has been restored twenty years ago; so it plays beautifully. Original Ebony Keys, white non-original ivory keys. It is a very impressive piece; don’t make’em like they used to. It has spent the last 30 years in Colorado, resting quietly in the living room. Rarely being used has preserved this masterpiece and makes a timeless statement in any room. Can be played immediately, but eventually you would want to get it tuned. Steinway & Sons Black Console Piano
Available here is a Steinway console piano, F Model (40 tall) color black. Manufactured in 1968, this piano is middle-aged. This instrument is not a perfect museum piece, as the price suggests. But it is worthy of the investment in improvements, and presents a surprisingly affordable opportunity to have a Steinway in your house! The keyboard surface (key-tops) is quite nice. The piano has held pitch (A440) for the 3 years that I have owned it without re-tunings. The cabinet features multiple and somewhat conspicuous spots of touch-up work; dabbed in black paint on scratches its received over the years. While the piano produces a very nice tone and all 88 keys work, more advanced players and perhaps even intermediates will recognize the need for action adjustments and regulation. I had planned to invest in exactly that, but it hasnt happened yet under my watch, and I have entered somewhat of a liquidation phase. Comes with a brand new padded bench.
