There is an evident water stain on the top left corner of the piano , as shown in the pictures. You can see the quarter-sawing in many of the pictures which shows the exceptional craftsmanship and artistic beauty of this piano. Although the name may be unfamiliar to most, it is respected throughout the industry. Wm. Knabe & Co. Grand Upright Piano circa 1890-1895
This is a beautiful piano that has been in my family for nearly 50 years. My stepfather played beautiful jazz music on it. It has not been played in ten years or so, since his passing. It definitely needs to be tuned and needs a couple of the mallets replaced. It had a total renovation done about 30 years ago by a prominent piano company in Washington, DC.
