A beautiful polished mahogany Yamaha U1 upright piano no. This piano was made in Japan 2003, for the US market. 48″h x 60″w x 24d. Approx weight: 502 pounds. Good condition, very good exterior just a couple of small scuff to top, minimal wear to hammers, no cracks observed to soundboard, wonderful responsive action, will need tuning. Comes with original bench, key, felt key cover, dust pad. This was a single owner piano and well maintained. Yamaha U3 Upright Piano US Market, Made in Japan, High Polish Ebony (Black)
Built in 1976, this is a highly sought-after piano because it was made in Japan for the US Market. Three pedals, one of which is the sostenuto pedal. A music storage bench with a white vinyl top is included. The bench shows cosmetic wear, but it is sturdy. The piano is 52 inches high. It has always been kept in a temperature-controlled room at around 75 degrees. The pianos was recently tuned in November 2020 and has been tuned semi-annually by a professional technician. This piano now sits at exactly A440 pitch. The interior components work well and show no rust or dirt. I will detail all cosmetic flaws below. One dent in the finish, about the size of a dollar bill. Slight yellowing of the front facing part of the keys. One key shows plastic separating (see photos). One leg has a nick, smaller than a dime. Two small abrasions, which are not very noticeable and are no more than two inches in size, near the keyboard. Piano located near downtown Wilmington, NC.
