Sauter Master Class action and sounding board, one of the best in the world. A beautiful addition to any home with natural stone or wood aesthetics, with beautiful tone and superb action. Includes original Sauter matching bench in excellent condition. Well maintained and tuned regularly, never any pets or smoking of any kind. Has several minor small dings/ surface imperfections as expected with any used piano, but only visible up close and hard to photograph, overall excellent condition. This piano was built by the fabulous and notorious Wilhelm. Willie Jähne who, together with Bruno Sommerfeld, emigrated from Germany to the historic city of Bydgoszcz in Poland, where he established a piano-manufacturing factory. Used pair of 28 inch wide Roll or Kari MFG Piano or Organ Dollies. This pair is in great condition however some of the felt needs to be re-glued. The Oak frame shows little if any visible wear. Retractable wheels allow instruments to rest on own weight while in transport to avoid skidding or rolling. These features are unique with SWIVEL WHEELS AT BOTH ENDS, with four 7′ web straps not included (Ratchet straps work fine). 1,000 lb capacity. Simple to operate – place one truck at each end of load, fasten straps, and press foot lever at each end to raise load for moving. Handles fold out of the way when not in use. Chickering 1937 Vintage Walnut Studio Upright Piano & Upholstered Bench #29447. This “studio upright” size piano and matching bench was signed in 1937 by one of America’s great makers, Chickering of Boston. All original, the burl walnut case has octagonal legs and a lyre design music desk. The finish is very well preserved with some fine”crazing” or crackling to show its age. Brass pedals and wheels are original on this vintage musical instrument. Original natural bone keys have some wear and shrinkage separation from age, see photos. There are also shrinkage separations to the sound board which do not affect the tone. The pin block is sound and this piano has been serviced and holds a tune. Size is 59″ wide, 24″ deep and 46 tall. The bench has music storage underneath and is newly upholstered. Measurements are 34″ long, 15″ wide and 19 tall. Please view 30 photos at full screen size for best detail.
