This is Cottage Broadwood Piano in rosewood case. Iron Frame, Straight strung and under damped Piano. It has a full keyboard of 7 octaves. This is a fine, original example of this popular small English piano. The case is of Rosewood with original sconces. This piano has been reconditioned in the past, hence fine for a long time yet. The case work is in clean original condition with a very few marks as you would expect of a piano of this age. The keys are covered with the original’tooth’ type substance and all are in exceptionally good condition. Height 1.17 metres – 46. Width 1.33 metres – 53. Depth (away from the wall at keyboard height) 61 cm – 24. It has just been serviced, regulated and voiced and tuned to concert Pitch (A440) and suitable for a beginner or good pianist alike. It has a f ull tone on all the strings and a positive firm touch. You are welcome to come and play this piano or have it demonstrated in South Brent, Devon. A Steinway and Sons upright console piano, Model 100, with an ebony lacquer case and accelerated action with a diaphragmatic soundboard. Includeds original matching bench. Built in New York in 1966. 88 keys, 2 pedals. In very good condition , plays well. Bought at a multi-million dollar estate sale in Seattle. Will most likely need a tune up as all pianos should be tuned when bought. A 1 inch corner lacquer piece came off but was glued back on. 41 in tall x 58 in wide x 23 in deep. This is a small upright that has classic appearance that never goes out of style. It wont overwhelm your home with too much volume, yet it has the warm Steinway sound. It features the Steinway Accelerated Action as well as the Diaphragmatic soundboard for rich tone. The instrument has a slightly used action for fine performance and the finish has been refreshed to look very presentable. Yet, the sound and performance are on another level. More than that, this is an instrument that will hold its value for years to come because it is a Steinway. There are very few Steinway uprights available in the used market and finding one that has been in a gentle climate and well cared for is tough. If your space is limited yet you are after a top-tier, hand-built piano, this Steinway could be perfect.
