The legendary Baldwin 243 studio piano has excellent tone and projection and is the most popular piano model Baldwin ever produced. It is a favorite piano model among pianists, teachers, college music departments, schools, and churches. Many composers and teachers love this piano for not just its excellent tone but also it’s useful music desk above the keys which allows one to easily write music and make notations. This Baldwin model 243 features a 45? Height that allows for a larger soundboard and a longer string length equivalent to a 5’8? Grand piano. This instrument has big sound and projection and it is a wonderful choice for any piano player. This is a great piano for the price and an excellent addition to any home music studio. As an institutional model, this piano comes with smooth-rolling casters for easy transport across school, church, or stage. This model is known for a responsive action. This vintage 1980 example appears to have been lightly used, with cosmetic wear on the exterior of the cabinet and matching bench, and the gorgeous American White Oak cabinet is in overall good shape with some wear to the exterior. Fortunately, all original parts are present and complete. All keys work and the piano has always been tuned and maintained. This piano has only been owned by two owners. The soundboard is in overall good condition and all original parts are present. The serial number dates this piano to 1980 made at the Cincinnati, Ohio, Baldwin factory. Original bench included with original caster wheels. The cabinet and bench have some cosmetic wear but the piano is fully functional, and the entire piano appears to be all original without modifications.
