It is a 1977 3 pedal Mahogony outside Spinet Upright piano serial number 1123307. The valuation shown if the photo’s is of an online appraisal hastily done and show’s it’s a 1980 Balwin. There is a difference in valuation between a 1977 and earlier and a 1980 and later. The above put’s it between 1975 and 1980…….. Below is a more accurate serial number listing…….. So clearly being 1123307 you can see it’s before 1978 and during 1977. Under the leadership of Morley P. The company changed its name to Baldwin-United in 1977 after a merger with United Corp. Decrescendo: Baldwin-United Files for Bankruptcy in Early 1980s. In 1980, the company opened a new piano manufacturing facility in. The quality of the piano’s as well as the decline in students wanting to learn piano lead to poor revenue. So being 1977 it’s quality original design that had been the way of Baldwin for 113 years prior.
