Here is a piece of music history. There is not much that I was able to find on this particular piano or manufacture, but what I did find is that according to the internet research was that Bennett-Bretz was bought out in the early 1900s by Stieff. So I’d say it’s safe to date this piano pre-depression era. It’s definitely old and has been used, and shows signs of wear and that it was definitely played but it’s a beautiful piece. I no longer have need of or the space to keep it so I’d love to see it go to someone who has the space to display it. And maybe someone knows more info on this then I could find.
