Here we have a very well made Cramer piano in a mahogany case Compact size, and yet a full 7¼ octave piano, Iron framed, overstrung, dates to the mid 1950’s. Width 56 inches / 142 cm – Height 42 inches / 109 cm – Depth 23 inches / 59 cm Like all our pianos this has been thoroughly serviced, regulated and tuned and is just the job for a beginner to do a few grades or even for someone more accomplished. This piano had been in the same family for years. The casework is clean and has a shine on most of it but there are a few scratches on the keyboard lid. They don’t show when the lid is up. The Action has been serviced, regulated and tuned. It will not need tuning again for at least a year so it is all ready to go. Baldwin Upright Cherry Piano in French Provincial style. This quality upright piano was made by Baldwin company and demonstrates great quality and very cute style. The piano has two carved Cabriole legs in front and a nice decorative music stand up top. The piano also includes a nice matching bench with storage. The piano is in overall good vintage condition but does have an area of water damage on the left side. The keys and the rest of the body is in good shape. The piano is heavy. The Serial Number 170785 which dates it to 1906. The case is in Rosewood and in clean original condition, not without a few minor marks as you would expect of a piano of this age. This is reflected in the price. This piano has been the subject of an extensive re conditioning process by a very good Piano Technician a few years ago, hardly used since. The Key covers are immaculate and made of the original’bone’ substance all the best pianos used. It is often said German pianos just before the first war were the best made. During the war the wood from the factories was used to build other things and much of the skill required to build the pianos was lost in the battlefields. Due to it’s age it will not be suitable for a budding Rachmaninoff who wishes to bash it for 4 hours a day but it is perfectly suitable for someone who wishes to get to grade 3 or 4 and will work fine for many years with the occasional tuning and tweak. It has a full keyboard of 7 Octaves, the keys are made of the original’bone’ like substance and in very good condition. It has been in the same family for 60 years. Thank you for looking at this 1949 Steinway Upright Piano model “40” Serial number 324231 (see photo). The price includes 4 things. 2 one tuning at your place a few weeks after it gets acclimated at your place. 3 The price also includes moving within 20 miles and no more than a few steps to get into the house. I made the original white keys whiter and refurbished the original black keys as well. I checked things over and replaced a broken string and 3 tuning pins… The rest are holding a tuning.
