RONISCH Overstrung Piano in Burr Walnut Serviced Including Local Delivery
The case is in Burr Walnut, with Sconces (Candle sticks). You maybe interested to know this piano is 130 years old and still keeps is fantastic sound. Due to it’s age it will not be suitable for a budding Rachmaninoff who wishes to bash it for 4 hours a day but it is perfectly suitable for someone who wishes to get to grade 3 or 4 and will work fine for many years with the occasional tuning and tweak. It has a full keyboard of 7 Octaves, the keys are made of the original’bone’ like substance and in very good condition. It has been in the same family for 60 years. It has just been serviced, regulated, voiced and tuned to concert Pitch (A440) and suitable for a beginner or good pianist alike. It has a fantastic full sound, a deep Bass and and a very clear treble and a positive firm touch. There are a couple of minor blemishes on the casework in keeping with it’s age. Height 1.34 metres – 52. Width 1.45 metres – 57. Depth (away from the wall at keyboard height) 66 cm – 26. You are welcome to come and play this piano or have it demonstrated in South Brent, Devon. This is a Zender Compact 7 Octave piano in a contemporary style case with a light teak finish. These were and still are a popular small, well made pianos. It is Iron framed, Overstrung and underdamped. It came from a pet and smoke free home. If you look at the condition of the hammers and the action in general it looks as if it has hardly been used. The piano has just been expertly thoroughly regulated, voiced and tuned to A44 (Concert Pitch) – It Plays with a full, clear sound – Any trial welcome. Width 52 Inches or 132 Centimetres. Brinsmead Overstrung Piano in Rosewood Reconditioned, including Local Delivery
The case is of Rosewood, inlaid with boxwood banding, retaining it’s original sconces. This piano was subject to a professional restoration a few years ago, lightly used since. It has a full iron frame. It is Overstrung and Underdamped with a full keyboard of 7 Octaves. This is a good example of one of the best quality English made pianos. Brinsmead were often referred to as the British Bechstein. This example dates to Circa 1910, the height of the British Empire, often quoted as the best era of piano manufacturing. After the World War I many skilled craftsmen were lost in the fighting and the quality woods used in manufacture was used as pit props in the trenches, pianos were never the same again. The key covers are the original bone type used with the better make of pianos…… The reconditioning involved a complete case re-polish, re string, new tuning pins, new damper felts and springs – New Abel Hammers. It has just been serviced, regulated and voiced and tuned to concert Pitch (A440) and suitable for a beginner or good pianist alike. It has a great sound, full tone on all the strings and a positive firm touch.
