There is a difference in valuation between a 1977 and earlier and a 1980 and later. 1965 – 784017 1970 – 912986 1975 – 1035719 1980 – 1220374 1985 – 1365505 1990 – 1470443. The above put’s it between 1975 and 1980…….. Below is a more accurate serial number listing…….. So being 1123307 you can see it’s before 1978 and during 1977. Under the leadership of Morley P. The company changed its name to Baldwin-United in 1977 after a merger with United Corp. Decrescendo: Baldwin-United Files for Bankruptcy in Early 1980s. In 1980, the company opened a new piano manufacturing facility in Trumann. The quality of the piano’s as well as the decline in students wanting to learn piano lead to poor revenue. So being 1977 its quality original design that had been the way of Baldwin for 113 years prior.
