Kawai Studio 43 Upright Piano, Designer Series – Walnut Wood Finish. Kawai 803-C Piano – upright studio style, designer product line. 43 tall, 88 keys, bench included. Very nice condition, cared for well, tuned regularly, made in JAPAN (not Indonesia) in the early 80’s. Moving soon, need to sell. This piano is nice in that is has a Grand-style hinged lid with lid prop. Opening the lid allows for a clearer sound and more volume to fill the room. Kawai is one of the famous Japanese Piano builders who specialize in fine craftmanship and a warm rich tone in their pianos. Favored by conservatories and teachers around the world, Kawai has created their reputation based on their deep understanding of European piano building and partnerships with famous makers like Ibach and now Steinway. Kawai builds the Boston Pianos for Steinway and this endorsement should say enough about their quality of manufacture. The comparable new model is the 607 series which is made in Indonesia. This is a real find at nearly half of its price new – for Japanese Kawai quality which is not available today. DRASTICALLY REDUCED! Vintage Piano ca. 1911 (Decker Bros) Oak Upright Instrument
1911 (Decker Bros) Oak Upright Piano – Instrument. This piano was built originally as a “player” by The Decker Brothers Piano Company of Chicago during the “Golden Age” of piano building inAmerica circa 1911 based on. This piano is a large, full size Upright with the string length and soundboard of a full grand piano! This piano is made of quarter sawn oak wood and is of the Mission style, making it ideal for an early 20th Century American Bungalow or Craftsman style home. This piano has been kept on an inside/interior wall and tuned for many years. It was restrung approximately 10 years ago. Some of the keys have wear. The keys are NOT ivory. Recently, we have restored flooring in our house, therefore, the insideof the piano is dusty! FYI – Removal of the original player mechanisms is common inantique player pianos. When the original player mechanisms stopped working, piano tuners would often remove and discardthe original player mechanisms from the piano with no thought to the player mechanisms ever being restored to play again, although, it can be restored to itsformer glory or set up to play with an Ipod or MP3 player, OR this player Upright Piano works just as well as a regular piano! We have a smoke free and (currently)pet free home. Piano must be picked up. Local pick upis best.
