My name is James English from northeastern Pennsylvania. More than 10 months ago, I began searching eagerly, locally and statewide, for the one I exactly wanted. I continued searching, only to constantly return back to Mike’s’62 B. That’s when I decided to contact Mike to begin making an offer, and eventually come to a most satisfying sales agreement that could not be beaten without a doubt. Mike is the most patient salesperson on this planet. I had, and traded up from, a K. In all my years of dealing with salesmen, I can very honestly say that Mike was the best I have ever dealt with. I must say to all piano buyers, first shop with Picarzo Pianos before anywhere else. Take it from me, you won’t be disappointed by any means. Mike extends his patience and kindness above and beyond the norm. I highly recommend his showroom and service to all music lovers wherever you live. Thank you for reading about my recent experience with Picarzo Pianos. In West Wyoming, PA 1962 Steinway B Grand.

Schubert Console
Here we have a Schubert Console Piano. Make: Schubert Model: Console Finish: (SM) Satin Mahogany Status: Used/Reconditioned. The Schubert Piano Company was established in New York City in 1880 by Mr. Peter Duffy, and then incorporated in 1885 with Mr. The firm built very well made pianos, with several rather extravagant models were available. By the turn-of-the-century, Schubert was building an impressive line of upright pianos, player pianos and baby grand pianos. Schubert also produced a very successful line of player pianos under the “Automatic Player Piano Company” brand name. Perhaps Schubert was best known for their “Mandolin Piano”. The Mandolin Piano was an upright piano equipped with a mechanism that dropped metal tabs between the piano hammers and strings via pressing the middle pedal. This effect gave the instrument the sound of a mandolin, zither, banjo or guitar. The Schubert Piano Company even composed and published special sheet music for the Mandolin Piano, and it was marketed very aggressively. This unique sound quickly caught on and became widely known as the “rinky tink” or “honky tonk” piano sound used in saloons and bars across the land for decades. Lester continued to build pianos under the Schubert brand name until 1937. (Schubert Console) as advertised. Located at our Pasadena location.

Krakauer Baby Grand
Here we have a reconditioned Krakauer Baby Grand Piano. Make: Krakauer Model: Baby Grand Finish: (SE) Satin Ebony Status: Used/Reconditioned. Krakauer Brothers was founded in 1869 by Simon Krakauer, his son David and his brother Julius in New York City. Krakauer was well known for building superior quality pianos in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. Krakauer put a great deal of thought and effort in the design and construction of their instruments and the result was a superior piano of excellent tone quality. In 1917 Krakauer incorporated The Madison Piano Company, building Madison brand of pianos for several decades. Krakauer gained control of the large Haddorff Piano Company in the 1920s. Haddorff’s extensive manufacturing operations gave Krakauer the ability to substantially increase production. Because of their superior quality, Krakauer Brothers was one of the few American Piano Companies to survive the Great Depression without being absorbed into a larger conglomerate like Aeolian-American, etc. Kimball only produced the Krakauer name for a few years before Kimball went out of business in about 1986. Vintage Krakauer pianos are some of the most well made instruments we see come through our restoration shop today, and they are highly recommended. (Krakauer Baby Grand) as advertised.
