This YM5 is a cut above Yamaha’s B series which is the line of pianos Yamaha USA has chosen to import to dealers in the United States. This YM5 most closely resembles the Yamaha model B3. Both are 48 tall with cabinets that are nearly identical to one another. However, the YM5 was made in Japan whereas the B3 is made in Yamaha’s Indonesian factory.
