This is a pre-owned Baldwin Model 6000, also known as the Concert Vertical. One of the last of the American-made big uprights, this piano has a powerful tone and speaks with authority. It previously served a church congregation with hard surfaces where it filled the sanctuary with no amplification. Believe it or not, it was only traded in (for a Baldwin 243) because the pianist could not see over it! This piano can be voiced down to suit a smaller room if needed. This would make an excellent church or auditorium piano as it sits on “double rubber” casters that make it easy to safely roll around a stage. It is in good condition, however there are a few spots on the front of the case at the bass end that were touched up by a previous owner in the wrong color. We would be happy to provide more photos as well as audio and video samples of the piano upon request. It has recently been tuned and is proudly displayed in our showroom at Baldwin Piano and Organ Center in Herrin, Illinois. The price is negotiable and we will consider all reasonable offers.
