One Of A Kind & Very Famous Steinway & Sons Custom Art Case Concert Grand Piano

The caliber of this Steinway piano should be compared to Steinway like the one in The White House. It was ordered by Mr. Rockefeller himself at the turn of the century in the year of 1891, sent to a famous turn of the century custom cabinet maker in NYC by the name of Joseph Cabus and after 2 months was delivered to his home in upstate NY. Piano is encased in stunning Flame satinwood veneer and has a custom made case which includes carved cherubs on the arms, carved cabinetry on legs, lyre and music rack. There really is no tangible value of price we can attach to this magnificent instrument and its history as there is really nothing we can compare it to? Piano as it sits now is all original and we are offering 2 options and both included in the price. We can sell it “as is” if someone wants it in an all original state. We can have if fully rebuilt in our NY location to bring it back to its former original glory. This one was owned and ordered bought NEW from Steinway for the richest man ever to live, it was not bought at a later date in time by Mr Rockefeller rather on the actual orders from Steinway its states that it was ordered by Mr. Rockefeller and that it was sent to a famous artisan to customize the case and. Any famous rare steinway Ive ever seen (and there are not many ever made) from the turn of the century was usually a model A or B but not a concert grand model D. In general I’ve rarely ever seen art case model D’s and definitely never seen such a rare custom art case model D owned by someone as famous as JOHN D. Piano Kimball Baby Grand Chippendale style art-case
This piano appears to be made of imported Honduran Mahogany wood and is of the carved Chippendale Double-Leg style. During the late 1920s and early 1930s, there was a renaissance style within the furniture industry. A limited number of “art-case” pianos reflected popular historical styles. These carved “art-case” pianos were more expensive than the Traditional models and built in fewer numbers. They are quite rare today (Antique Piano Shop).

Yamaha CP-80 Vintage Electric Baby Grand Piano
Yamaha CP-80 Electric Baby Grand Piano? The Yamaha CP-80 was released in 1976 and was discontinued in 1985. It is an electric baby grand with the dynamic and natural sounds of the piano as it has a real keyboard action with strings but without soundboard. Instead, the sound is generated through a sophisticated piezo type pick-up system that translates the vibrating strings into electric signals. The advantage is that the sound thus has an effective electronic amplification which is very useful for touring purposes. The CP-80 has been used by many professional musicians over the years on the stage and in the studio. This CP-80 would be best suited to someone looking for a professional electric grand to use at home or on the road. It would also suit a professional studio or entertainment company looking to widen their repertoire. Condition. This is a used unit.. Physically the unit is in good condition. It shows some wear from use and age. This includes some light scratches and scuffs and some light surface oxidation on the latches and in other small sections.
