VINTAGE Cherry GULBRANSEN Supertone Scale Upright Piano Bench & Music 1953
This is a VINTAGE Gulbransen Upright piano that was made in 1953 per the serial number found inside. It is in a Beautiful deep Cherry / Mahogany wood. This also includes the matching bench with a hinged lid to keep your music close. This piano has been in my family for over 45 years, but its time to find it a new home with someone who will play it and enjoy it. SOME INFO ABOUT GULBRANSEN PIANOS. Established in Chicago in 1904, The Gulbransen Piano Company was a major contributor to the American piano industry in the early 20th Century. Gulbransen produced a full line of upright and grand pianos. After the Great Depression, Gulbransen produced several lines of spinets, consoles and small baby grand pianos. Gulbransen changed ownership several times throughout the 20th Century, and today the name is still being built in electronic keyboards and organs. 1920 Vintage Gulbransen Upright Piano with Piano Bench
Gulbransen Upright Piano, Serial number 295925, manufactured 1920. Beautiful finish with original keys. Piano bench with hand needlework. Piano needs to be tuned, and some minor repairs. Plays nicely, good tone. This is a good piano for beginning players, and is a nice piece of furniture. Gulbransen pianos were popular in the first part of the 20th century and have a good reputation. Vintage Gulbransen 1940’s ornately carved piano with bench
Gulbransen Mastertone ornately carved piano with bench. It is satin oak or cherry from the late 1940s. The only’flaws’ are: 5 chipped keys, some chipped wood at the bottom rear, and the wood needs a good clean/polish and tuning. I’ve included pictures of these items. Antique Functional Fully Tuned 1938 Gulbransen Spinet Piano
Recently, I had this piano tuned two levels up. Sounds absolutely beautiful and loud! Some of the hammers in the higher notes I have peeled back, possibly due to age or moisture although there is no water or moisture damage inside the piano. It has been thoroughly inspected. I love this piano, but due to the lack of use, I could really use the space the piano is in. Would really like to sell the piano ASAP. You will need a dolly to move the piano since rear wheels are compromised, or your more than welcome to repair or replace the piano wheels before moving. This is a vintage piano in over all good shape. STRUCTURE : The rear wheels have disintegrated so it needs assistance moving. Front right leg needs to be secured, it is wobbly when moved; but maintains piano integrity when playing or just idle. KEYS : All keys in great working order. PEDALS : Operational and great working order. HAMMERS : Due to (what I assume) moister in previous location; some of the higher notes keys, felt has peeled back. When I had the piano tuned up to standard and inspected by a professional, I was informed that the felt can be glued down to return keys back to play ability. Aside from the hammer felts, the professional inspection of this piano results were that the piano interior was in great operating function. No mold or moisture damage.
