The case is of Mahogany finish – This piano has been the subject of re condition by the Mickelburgh Piano Shop in Bristol a few years ago and not used since. It has a full iron frame. It is Overstrung and Underdamped with a full keyboard of 7 Octaves. This is a good example of one of a good quality English made piano. It has just been serviced, regulated and voiced and tuned to concert Pitch (A440) and suitable for a beginner or good pianist alike. It has a great sound, full tone on all the strings and a positive firm touch. Height 1.25 metres – 49. Width 1.50metres – 59. Depth (away from the wall at keyboard height) 61 cm – 24. The case is in Burr Walnut, with Sconces (Candle sticks). You maybe interested to know this piano is 130 years old and still keeps is fantastic sound. Due to it’s age it will not be suitable for a budding Rachmaninoff who wishes to bash it for 4 hours a day but it is perfectly suitable for someone who wishes to get to grade 3 or 4 and will work fine for many years with the occasional tuning and tweak. It has a full keyboard of 7 Octaves, the keys are made of the original’bone’ like substance and in very good condition. It has been in the same family for 60 years. It has just been serviced, regulated, voiced and tuned to concert Pitch (A440) and suitable for a beginner or good pianist alike. It has a fantastic full sound, a deep Bass and and a very clear treble and a positive firm touch. There are a couple of minor blemishes on the casework in keeping with it’s age.
