Rare 1950’s Sauter vintage upright piano with tapestry stool. Very unique piano – sounds magical. Needs a good tune but in otherwise excellent condition. Made in 1958 in Germany and then travelled to the US. Eighty-eight note keyboard and three pedals. Walnut case and cabriole legs, high-end piano made. Measures 41 high x 55 wide. Sauters patented R2 Double Escapement action – same one used in grand pianos, a rarity for an upright, making it easier to play fast repeated notes. Any questions, please ask! VERY RARE Antique Early Faux Rosewood Schoenhut Childs Toy Piano Upright Plays
Wonderful antique Schoenhut child’s piano in good working condition from an old Virginia estate. Could use a little cleaning and TLC but in good solid condition with nice patina. It has 22 white keys and 15 black keys and it measures approximately 24″ long x 24″ high x 12 deep. Has a couple of old minor cosmetic repairs, as shown in photos. Lid has tiny nails that held it on originally, but they were replaced at some point with tiny gold screws. See 4th from last photo. Narrow cracks in wood on one side near bottom. Back has the most significant “repair” where a piece of the edging that held the back on came off one side long ago and the back was just tacked back into place, likely with the original nails. It is not very noticeable to just look at the back but you notice it when you examine it more closely. See last 3 photos. We are keeping the price reasonable on this one due to the minor condition issues but, as it is so rare, you are unlikely to find another in any condition. Vintage Schoenhut Childs Toy Piano Upright Working Rare 25 Keys AWESOME
This is a vintage Schoenhut Child’s Toy Piano. This is an upright piano that WORKS! There are 25 keys in total 15 are white and 10 are black. Each key will play a note. It will need a tuning! Each key strikes a loud lovely note. There are no broken keys. There is some wear to the wood in areas including some scratching, scuffing. No deep nicks, dings or gouges in the wood. Some areas of worn stain. NOt perfect but in excellent condition for its age. All the wood is intact. The top of the piano looks slightly warped or bowed. 19.75″ tall x 10.25″ deep x 17 wide. The ” Schoenhut graphic” is nice and readable as shown. It is marked on the underside O. Castor Ave Philadelphia, Pa 19134 JP 131.
