Unbelievably beautiful and in good condition still playing! May need tuning a bit once its moved to your location as most pianos do. No photos can do this piece justice! Vintage Emerson Upright Piano Style B Emerson Piano Co Antique 1886-1899 Est
This is a vintage Emerson Upright Piano, Style “B”, made in the late 1800s by Emerson Piano Co. Ive searched for the serial number, and the only number I can find is 1766 stamped in at least 4 places into the wood, which I think may be a patent number, not the serial number. But not much later because pianos were becoming less ornate and more streamline in design after the turn of the century. The exterior was refinished in 1965, and there are some scratches and dents, but overall it still looks great. The piano plays, but a restoration would bring the sound quality to its very best. The keys are yellowed, worn, and a couple of them are missing the ivory covers. 3 of the hammers are missing inside. Its a beautiful piece of antique furniture and history, and would be a wonderful addition to your home with or without a restoration. The vintage stool is included! It was refinished to match the piano, but needs a new cushion and some tightening up under the seat. I also have an old metronome if you’d like to have it.
