Wilbur Rare Antique Grand Piano (close to 100 years old! Very few made!)
This is a rare antique Wilbur Baby Grand Piano, close to 100 years old. Made in the United States, it features 88 keys, a black color, and is a grand piano. Pianos made by this company are scarce as very few were produced, making them unique and valuable item for collectors. So about hundred years old, maybe more. It has not been tuned in many years and will definitely require maintenance/refurbishment. It also has one broken key. If anyone is interested pls make an offer or message me. A little about the brand. The Wilbur Piano Company was established by Harry D. Pease and John D. Their factory was located at Legget & Randell Streets in New York City. Pease was both President and Director of the Wilbur Piano Company while serving as First Vice President and Director of The Pease Piano Company. Pease served as Secretary, Treasurer and Director of the Wilbur Piano Company while serving as President of the Pease Piano Company. The Wilbur Piano Company offered a full line of upright pianos, baby grand pianos, and player pianos during the first quarter of the 20th Century. By about 1910, the majority of Wilbur instruments were of the player piano variety. Pianos built by the Wilbur Piano Company are a bit rare today, indicating they may not have been built in massive volume like many other New York manufacturers. There is no mention of The Wilbur Piano Company after about 1929, indicating the firm went out of business due to the Great Depression.

Welcome to Premier Steinway pianos please check us out on our new venue & new website live & open to the public… What we have for sale today is definitely the rarest Steinway piano we have ever had in our inventory and that is not just because its a rare custom art case model D concert grand, its more so because it was bought new by one of the most famous people ever, the richest man ever to live by the name of John D. The caliber of this Steinway piano should be compared to Steinway like the one in The White House. It was ordered by Mr. Rockefeller himself at the turn of the century in the year of 1891, sent to a famous turn of the century custom cabinet maker in NYC by the name of Joseph Cabus and after 2 months was delivered to his home in upstate NY. Piano is encased in stunning Flame satinwood veneer and has a custom made case which includes carved cherubs on the arms, carved cabinetry on legs, lyre and music rack. There really is no tangible value of price we can attach to this magnificent instrument and its history as there is really nothing we can compare it to? Piano as it sits now is all original and we are offering 2 options and both included in the price. We can sell it “as is” if someone wants it in an all original state. We can have if fully rebuilt in our NY location to bring it back to its former original glory. Piano is in NJ where it can be viewed and played and at that time we will have more pictures etc to supply for potential buyers. Many more pics to come as well as all the original Steinway documentation authenticating all the history and provenance that this unreal Steinway piano comes with! There are some other famously owned Steinway’s that have come up for sale in the past and some of them are stunning as well but I don’t believe any of them were as rare as this one for a number of reasons. This one was owned and ordered bought NEW from Steinway for the richest man ever to live, it was not bought at a later date in time by Mr Rockefeller rather on the actual orders from Steinway its states that it was ordered by Mr. Rockefeller and that it was sent to a famous artisan to customize the case and. Any famous rare steinway Ive ever seen (and there are not many ever made) from the turn of the century was usually a model A or B but not a concert grand model D. In general I’ve rarely ever seen art case model D’s and definitely never seen such a rare custom art case model D owned by someone as famous as JOHN D. Vintage Steinert Upright Piano And Bench Very Nice Condition
Steinert Upright Piano and matching bench. Very good condition – owned by one family. 3 pedals work great. A couple of scratches here and there but otherwise still a beautiful finish (please see photos). This piano works perfectly and still in tune however, could probably use a tune up. Perfect starter piano for a budding musician!
