Steinway upright Duo-Art Player Piano
Offered is a very rare Steinway upright player piano. The piano needs a full restoration. I started to restore the Player piano but acquired a Steinway Grand instead. The stack pneumatics are about 2/3 done. The piano action is sluggish and needs a full restoration. The piano has a very desireable steamboat pump, Duo-Art expression system and the tempnomic knob. Built in Thomaston, GA this piano has been seasoned for the U. Market, and features Yamaha’s V-Pro plate, this means incredible tuning stability over the life of the instrument. The MX80 also features a solid spruce soundboard for incredible sound and resonance. Very gently used, this piano is in excellent shape and has mostly just played itself. It has 1 small imperfection on keyboard cover/top. Yamaha TG 100 192 voice Tone Generator and required MIDI cables included. Antique Vintage 1870’s Steinway Upright Piano Serial # 65201!! This is a BEAUTIFUL Steinway upright that is ready for a fully restoration. The wood appears to be solid Brazilian rosewood that has just exquisite depth and grain and is in near perfect condition with a marvelous aged finish. The sound board appears to be in solid condition with but is in need of new hammers, strings and such. A few of the keys do not currently work and the piano has not been tuned in quite some time! The ivory is still on the keys! This is a gorgeous piece of Americana that could still be great with a full restoration or the cabinet could be utilized as a “one of a kind” back bar.
