Antique FRANCIS BACON Small CHILD’S PIANO & BENCH Restored Local Pickup
Antique Francis Bacon child’s piano (small piano), measuring just over 22″ deep x 38-1/2″ wide x almost 40 high. Piano and bench were restored in 1999 by a man who specialized in antique piano restoration. It was used very little following restoration. We have not found any serial number yet, but we will update this listing if we find one. Based on markings inside piano, this piano dates from 1876 U. There are 58 keys total (white and black). This piano seems to be a rare piece. We cannot locate another like it. Cabinet/wood on piano and bench appears to have been refinished. One area of wood on top toward back (right) is slightly raised. There is slight damage to a few keys (see photos). Piano has been on interior wall in heated/cooled house (only) since restoration, but is out of tune. All keys (white & black) play. One or two keys may sound odd. Some slight repair may be needed in addition to tuning. Pedals seem to work fine. Professional piano mover is recommended. Steinway Upright Grand Piano LOCAL PICKUP
I don’t know if I would call this Vintage, but I was told that it was from the 1920’s when we bought it. Has not been tuned for several years. I’m sure it would require more than tuning. It most likely will need to be repaired. Also, the left leg of the piano is broken and will need to be repaired. Piano is red mahogany wood, Chippendale Style. 1958 BALDWIN ACROSONIC SPINET PIANO w piano bench, mid century modern pickup
Classic Baldwin Acrosonic spinet upright piano in medium brown wood. Not sure exactly what the wood is, but it looks really cool. Could be cherry or walnut? Piano is in excellent condition and all the keys work. Note: any white spots on wood in photos are due to camera’s flash, wood on piano looks great. Just needs a tuning once you get it home, as all pianos that are moved do. The top of the bench is in not as great condition as the piano, and has some scratches on the top, (as shown in pic). Could easily be refinished or you can add some new fabric to the pad that comes with it. Mid century modern design. Piano was made in 1958, according to the serial number inside.
