Steinway Upright Piano, rare 1874 antique rosewood in magnificent condition
This 1874 Steinway is a remarkable instrument. It still has its original keyboard and magnificent rosewood casework. The action was recently reconditioned. It plays beautifully and holds tuning like a rock. It has the Steinway certification paperwork, and you can truly call it priceless as it is irreplaceable. I was a piano technician, tuner, and restorer, but this is my personal instrument. I don’t want to part with it, but I now have a Steinway grand, and I can’t keep both in the apartment. It also comes with the original antique bench, which has been reupholstered. For a 150-year-old instrument, it is truly remarkable.

Rare Antique 1901 Steinway Model B Rosewood Grand Piano Louis XV Rococo Restored
Fully Restored 1901 Steinway & Sons Model B Louis XV Baroque Rococo Grand Piano – Serial Number 99151, Full 88 key keyboard. The most exquisitely detailed example of a turn of the century Model B available today, this 122 year old Steinway grand piano has been completely restored to its original splendor. The Rosewood case is clad in panels of book matched veneer, each containing intricate golden scrolled foliate of inlaid fruitwood, surrounding a diamond shaped parquetry checkerboard pattern. This design is repeated on the fall board, as well as the top and face of the folding section of the lid. The fall board also features fully inlaid banding. The fruitwood foliate motif is echoed in the expertly carved trim and sturdy legs, which also feature deeply carved scallop shell knees and scrolled feet. The music desk features an oxbow shaped back support carved with a lyre trimmed in curtain swags on a backdrop of pierced lattice. It folds down and slides back and forth easily and features two swiveling brass sheet music holders at the front edge. The kick board has a lyre carved form with dentil molding and three brass pedals. An iconic instrument that will add grandeur and breathtaking sounds to any space. This one of a kind piano is the perfect harmony of the worlds most desirable piano model combined with a spectacular Art Case. The soundboard was completely rebuilt, with the intention of maintaining the original tone of the instrument. The cast iron plate was re-gilded and the entire action has been replaced with brand new components including new strings, dampers, tuning pins (all tuned to 100-120lbs of torque), hammers shanks, whippens, keys, and bushings. The case and instrument was a multi-year meticulous restoration by the industries finest. The origin of the Model B dates to 1871 with the development of the Steinway 85-note Style 1 grand piano. Modified and renamed the Model B in 1878, it has enjoyed unrivaled renown as a performance instrument in countless venues from the teaching studio to the recording studio, and the concert hall to the home. Music Desk from 1845 Square Grand Piano, Rosewood, top folds down, withmounts
This music desk is from an 1845 A. Gale Square Grand, which has otherwise gone to the great concert hall in the sky. The piano was Serial #661. Unique to this desk is the fact that the top three inches are hinged to fold 45 degrees down so the piano lid can close. It measures 21 3/4 inches left to right and is 10 5/8 inches in height when unfolded. Stops for movement of the desk are built into the mounting blocks. The desk is Rosewood and the workmanship is exceptional. If you want an original piece this is it. Mounting block screw holes are 22 3/4 inches on center. Note: Disregard the’3′ width note in the listing. The 3 inches is the size of the part that folds down.

VERY RARE Antique Early Faux Rosewood Schoenhut Childs Toy Piano Upright Plays
Wonderful antique Schoenhut child’s piano in good working condition from an old Virginia estate. Could use a little cleaning and TLC but in good solid condition with nice patina. It has 22 white keys and 15 black keys and it measures approximately 24″ long x 24″ high x 12 deep. Has a couple of old minor cosmetic repairs, as shown in photos. Lid has tiny nails that held it on originally, but they were replaced at some point with tiny gold screws. See 4th from last photo. Narrow cracks in wood on one side near bottom. Back has the most significant “repair” where a piece of the edging that held the back on came off one side long ago and the back was just tacked back into place, likely with the original nails. It is not very noticeable to just look at the back but you notice it when you examine it more closely. See last 3 photos. We are keeping the price reasonable on this one due to the minor condition issues but, as it is so rare, you are unlikely to find another in any condition.
