Here are the details about the piano! Yamaha’s U series upright pianos really set the bar for upright piano manufacturing. Few manufacturers are able to produce an upright with a tone and action response to rival the Yamaha’s U series pianos. As nice as the U series pianos are, Yamaha made an even higher end upright line called the YU Series (Now YUS). The YU series while similar in design to the U series has higher end materials included into the build. The soundboard material, hammers, strings and tuning pins are all a cut above their U series production line pianos. With the higher end materials, the projection and response from the YU (and YUS) series uprights are at the top of their class. This piano was sourced from our partners in Hamamatsu Japan.
